Child-friendly practices have positive results in socio-spatial dynamics, aspects as mobility, inclusivity, and safety. Moreover, child-responsive planning can have a positive impact on the environment. Child-friendly cities advocate for children’s rights including access to a healthy environment, assuring access to green spaces, high air quality, and clean water which goes hand in hand with actions to fight climate change. Raising awareness on the measures necessary to ensure children’s quality of living, lead also to generate consciousness in the population about the environment and about how we can commit to providing children a better present and a better future, starting in every space possible in our cities. During the workshop, we analyze and assess what is the children experience and reflect on what are their needs in the public space. The results of the analysis lead to urging urban planners, architects, and designers to re-scale and re-imagine places from a different perspective.
