The project "You also build Cuenca" (TTCC) is based on urban pedagogy, a practice through which children are taught concepts about urbanism and the city, empowering them to make decisions about the use and transformation of the spaces they frequent. Once the problem has been identified, the children propose solutions to improve the public space.
In this case, the project seeks to promote active mobility for children on their way to school. Active mobility enhances physical health, improves the environmental quality of the surroundings, fosters the development of basic skills, and strengthens social interaction. The voices of the young people lead the co-creation process which also includes the municipality, neighbours, and professionals from urban and creative disciplines who want to participate in the design of the installations in the public space.
