Paúl is an architect and urban designer; he completed his bachelor's degree at the School of Architecture at the University of Cuenca and a master's degree, through a Fulbright scholarship, at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
He is currently Associate Design Director at the architecture firm Moscoso Arquitectos, designing and building projects in the cities of Cuenca, Guayaquil, and the Santa Elena peninsula.
His experiences include applied research in Urban Pedagogy and Tactical Urbanism. He has worked at notable studios in Pittsburgh, San Diego, Quito, and Cuenca. His works conceive design blurring the conventional boundaries between theory and practice and merging the fields of architecture and urbanism, political theory and urban policy, visual arts, and public culture. He has been a tutor, speaker, and curator at various workshops, lectures, and exhibitions in the Americas and Europe.
